SAL update – Cirque des Triangles #6

Last time, I showed you this photo.

CdesT 05

For this update, I worked on the right-hand side of my fabric, to keep things symmetrical, and “Cirque des Triangles” looks like this.

CdesT stage 6

Let’s go see what other SAL members have been busy stitching.

Avis, is working on the same CdesT design, but in totally different colours.  Other members are all working on a wonderful variety of projects:  Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina, SusanP, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, WendyLinda, Catherine, Mary Margaret and Timothy.

Next update on 25th June.

Abby & Ducky – 2 years

Oops, I missed birthday celebrations for our two youngest cats: the sister & brother act, Abby and Ducky.  They turned two a few days ago.

Ducky was in the wars on the day.

ducky swollen

Can you see?  Swollen face on the right side.  That was the only visible symptom.  We figured he’s either been stung by an insect, or had an abces.  Quick vet’s visit the next day, even though the swelling had gone down – it was an insect sting.  Probably bee or wasp.  Anyway, he’s right as rain now.

And here’s Abby

In one of her favourite spots on a little wall.

And a couple more photos of pretty colours . . .

violets

These little flowers growing in abundance, mixing in with the ivy . . . and in our neighbour’s garden

wild poppies

Which I suddenly realised were, what is known as “Wild Poppy”, therefore the colour inspiration for one of my current stitching projects!  Stitching with the colour “Wild Poppies” by Threadworx – what a coincidence!

SAL update – “Cirque des Triangles” #5

Another 3 weeks have flown by, and it’s time for SAL members to post photos of our SAL projects.

I’m stitching “Cirque des Triangles” by Ink Circles.  Last time things looked like this

And for this stage, it looks like this.

CdesT 05

I’m now off to visit all the following links, to see what other members have been up to.

SAL – Cirque des Triangles #4

Hello everyone, it’s time to post the regular 3-weekly update on my SAL project.  At the moment, I’m stitching “Cirque des Triangles”, an Ink Circles design by Tracey Horner and having lots of fun.  It’s a very relaxing project, being a monochrome, and it’s the variagated thread that does all the colour changes for me.

SAL – Cirque des Triangles #3

Our SAL 3-weekly update has come around fast . . .

IMGP2574

And here’s my progress thus far.  This is “Cirque des Triangles” an Ink Circles chart by Tracey Horner.  I’m loving this design and really enjoying seeing more triangles appear on my fabric.

SAL update #2 Cirque des Triangles

CdesT02

An update on the previous photo which looked like this

CdesT stage 01

Lighting for top photo isn’t brilliant, but you get the general idea.  This is how “Cirque des Triangles” looks for this SAL update.  Fabric is still forest green and thread is a lot more orange & vivid than it looks.  This design is by Tracey Horner for Ink Circles.

Don’t forget to stop by and admire progress of other SAL members.  Avis, is working on the same CdesT design, but in totally different colours.  Other ladies are all working on a wonderful variety of projects:  Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina, SusanP, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, WendyLinda, Catherine and we’ve just been joined by Mary Margaret.

And stop by, if you can, on April 2nd for our next update.

SAL update: Cirque des Triangles #1

cdest ready

For this SAL update, both Avis and I have begun a brand new project . . . an Ink Circles design by Tracey Horner:  Cirque des Triangles (hereafter to be called CdesT).  This will be the second “Cirque” we tackle together since we stitched Cirque des Cercles in 2014 and had lots of fun with that.  Nice thing about Ink Circles designs, is that you can really get creative with fabric and thread.

I’m stitching on a Forest Green 25 count Lugana evenweave, using 2 strands of Threadworx “Wild¨Poppies” (1072).  Threadworx skeins come in 25m lengths, which explains why there are only 4 skeins in the photo.  Should be more than enough.

Anyway, enough chat . . . here’s my progress for stage 1.

CdesT stage 01

We’ve started top left (after some careful measuring of fabric) and it’s plain sailing so far.

Don’t forget to pop over and see what other ladies in the SAL are working on.

Avis, is working on the same CdesT design, but in totally different colours.  Other ladies are all working on a wonderful variety of projects:  Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina, SusanP, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, WendyLinda and Catherine.

And please do come back to check out progress on 12th March.
