After knitting the Shavo pattern in grey for the husband, last month, I began knitting the same pattern for myself, but in pink.
I knitted the front piece first because that’s the piece that needed shaping for the neck & shoulders. Once rows are sorted for that, the back is just a rectangle with the same number of rows.
The “top secret very important” crafting project is now finished – ready to be posted and to be revealed in February. With that done, I’ll be getting back to some unicorn xstitch soon. In the meantime, I sat out in the kitchen for a couple of hours and made up a set of 10 xmas decorations from a diamond painting kit I was gifted this Christmas.
They were supposed to all be done in red & white, but I fancied playing around with leftover drills from other kits. So I did !
That pattern is obviously a hit with you! When I find one I like and that fits well I do tend to make it several times with slight variations. The decorations are delightful – the gold star particularly leaps out at me!
well I’ve only knitted it once before but it turned out nicely, and I think it’ll look really nice in this girly colour.
The diamond painting as Christmas decorations is adorable, you have almost swayed me to give it a try. Love the Shavo jumper, great style and a comfy jumper is “Da Bomb”
thanks Debbie ^^
That sweater is looking great, Claire! You have gotten a serious head start on Christmas 2022 with the ornaments. I am especially fond of your gingerbread boy.🙂
Not sure if I’ll be making any more decorations until much later in the year ow ^^ These were a xmas present and it seemed like a good idea to do them now rather than put away and forget about in a drawer.
Smart thinking. I know I would forget I had them!
That is going to be one beautiful sweater 🙂 Love the ornaments!
thanks Sharon. Funny because as a child my Mum always dressed me in blue, but I do like this kind of soft pink (goes with my grey hair lol).
The jumper is looking lovely. The decorations look great fun..
yes I enjoy a bit of diamond painting, since I first discovered it early last year. It’s fairly mindless to do, but it’s quite relaxing.
Your sweater is looking lovely and LOVE the color!! It will be way more beautiful than the gray one, LOL I bet your cute ornaments are very sparkly.
grey was for the husband lol but I immediately decided this style would look great for a woman too, in a more girlie colour!
