This first Scraphappy day of the year took me a little by surprise, I have to admit. And it’s without much imagination that I quickly sewed some 2.5″ squares together to make two blocks (for a future scrappy quilt).
The block on the right was a “what happens if I sew together scraps of the same print but in a different colourway?” And the one on the left was more organised than my usual random colours. Which doesn’t mean I don’t have more bright scraps to sew together, because I do !
I love the muted colour palate. This will be very pretty.
I would never have known that right hand one was different colourways, I assumed it was just a varied print! This looks as if it’s going to be a fun quilt – keep those blocks coming!
And what is wrong with being on the last minute?
This is going to be a great project! Those little scraps will find a home here. Pretty pretty!
happy scrapping!
Lovely blocks.
I live all these scrappy project with squares in different sizes! It gives me so much inspiration!
That’s the great thing about patchwork. You can save/collect scraps, cut in preparation for another time and Viola a quilt is suddenly here. The alternative colourway can be effective
