SAL “Bag Ladies” #17

SAL 01 09

Above is the photo I posted last SAL update of “Bag Ladies”, a project I’ve been working on since September last year . . . for today’s 3-weekly update, this is progress!

SAL 2209

Not too shabby, methinks!  One new cat head, and a brown bag almost stitched, but lots of backstitch detail to add.  By my calculations, it should take me another 3 updates to see this project done & dusted!

In the meantime . . . let’s hop over and see what other SAL members are up to.  This time we welcome 2 new members;  Susan and Anne (their names are last in the linky list.

AvisGun, Carole, Sue, Constanze, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Clare, Mary Margaret, Renee, Jenny, Carmela, Jocelyn, Sharon, Susan, Anne

And we’ll be back on 13th October!

    • I know, it sometimes seems never-ending . . . cats multiply almost as fast as rabbits! Anyway, I am pleased to say I have reached the far left of the chart on this stage and things can go no farther left.

  1. Hi Claire – you’ve made a lot of progress! Looks like you might be closer to a finish than not. These cats really look so life like and capture their frisky playful nature. Love your project 🙂 Sharon

    • thanks Sharon! Yes a finish isn’t too far away now, but without the SAL I wouldn’t still be plodding along. Made quite a few miscounts along the way. Nothing too serious, but requiring a little adjustment as I work towards the edge.

    • thank you Linda – what’s nice about this project is they all seem to have a personality, and so many people recognise their own cats in their poses.

  2. Yes, I agree with Rutigt, these cats look realistic and certainly seem to have different personalities. Beautiful stitching will do that!
