SAL “Bag Ladies #11

I seem to be slowing down with SAL stitching . . . but knowing today was a date to show progress did spur me on to fit in a couple of hours.

Last time I was here

SAL 28 04 19

and this time

A quick zoom, because it’s not easy to see some of the paler stitches

That’s the fifth cat done, although I still need to go back over him/her with backstitch.  I reckon I’m about half way through this project now.  And will be working on a new bag for next time.

Don’t forget to visit other SAL members, who are working on a variety of projects.

And we’ll be back on 9th June.

  1. Lovely stripes! Well done on finishing up another kitty. Looking forward to seeing those eyes come alive with some backstitch.

  2. Hi Claire! Your sweet kitten begins to smile at us !! I love it so much. I read about your doll collection, a passion that unites us! I love antique dolls, made of porcelain, bisque, lenci cloth and cloth. In this period I’m reading about the “Maida”, really interesting! Good work and good week!

  3. Slow progress is nevertheless progress so don’t fret Claire. Its coming along nicely. For some reason I am not getting notifications of your posts again so have been having a quick read through recent ones and I love that rocking chair. I look forward to seeing what fabric you choose for the new cushions and covers.

    • um no lol. On finished design there are 9 bags, and a total of 10 cats (or parts of cats hiding) plus that courageous little mouse. So I’ve still got a long way to go!

  4. My husband is sitting next to me, noticed the cats, and said, “That one at the lower left looks like Bub” — our Maine Coon mutt cat. Love this, and I’m happy there are still more cats coming!
