I really stitched up a storm this time, on “Getting Ready” a design based on the original artwork of Ronald West. Last time I was here
This time, I’m here
And just for fun . . . I was browsing some of Ronald West’s artwork which is very colourful and fun . . . and this cross stitch kit: “Getting Ready” is actually only half of one of his paintings.
Anyway, don’t forgot to do some blog-hopping if you have some free time on your hands today. Other SAL members live world-wide, and have been up to a variety of different projects.
Avis, Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, Christina,
Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph, Linda, Mary Margaret,
Heidi, Connie, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Tony
(And apologies to Sunny, I can’t comment on your blog because I don’t have a gmail account, but wanted to say your needlepoint is fabulous!).
Next update on 15th April.
Wow! Having missed the last SAL this is huge progress, looks fab 🙂
thanks, yes, I’ve been concentratring on this one in the evenings, trying to get a spurt on.
You’ve been busy! I’ll bet you’re glad you only have the half size one though!
so true I don’t think I’d have been brave enough if it was twice the size.
Looking great & making lots of progress
thank you Lucy
You got a nice big chunk in this month! Interestingly, I think Avis has the other half of the painting.
yep her half looks so much more finished than mine because she’s “organised” and does the back stitch as she goes.
Well, when you’re both finished I wonder if you could join them together like the painting? LOL Back stitching as you go is tricky on some projects.
That’s some nice progress on this wonderful piece.
Oh my, great progress and she really does have o la la!
lol oh yes, she’s got lots of that!
I wish we had the whole picture to stitch. You’ve made loads of progress 😁.
why am I not surprised ^^
That is a spurt! I guess the “babies” are sleeping better these days! 😉
poor reborn dolls have been lying, neglected, in the laundry basket. Not enough hours in each day to play with everything!
The laundry basket is a great place for a nap….I think I may have found Girl #2 there a couple of times.😄
It all makes sense to me now! haha! Very cute progress. How fun to see the whole painting. I’m thinking of doing this with my full coverage UFO piece, cropping it a bit, so it’s more realistic to get it done!
Wow, that looks like significant progress! Well done you!
Even though they’re only sketched in, you can feel the strain those poor waiters are under…
The paintings do look great fun – and would be great to applique.
It is looking great. You can start to see the guys holding her up. I like the whole picture too. I wonder if they make the other half of the painting?
Loads done this time – great work
Excellent wish I had completed as much this past 2/52
I really liked the whole painting! If possible you´d stitch the other half as well 🙂
WOW — you’ve done so much in three weeks! I love the sassy lady, the stone texture in the wall, and just how much you’ve filled in. Thanks also for the comment on Mister Fox!
Loads of progress! Love the original painting. Shame your pattern is only half of it as the whole thing is brilliant.
You’ve been busy! This is really coming along. Thanks for sharing the full painting, it’s a really fun picture!
