SAL update–“Cirque des Triangles” #8

More lovely golden coloured Threadworx thread has appeared on my fabric, as “Cirque des Triangles” moves from this

CdesT stage 7

to this

CdesT stage 8

That’s all the outer triangles done now.  Next stages will be to fill in the centre.

Let’s go see what other SAL members have been up to.  Avis, is working on the same CdesT design, but in totally different colours.  Other members are all working on a wonderful variety of projects:  Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Jess, Sue, Constanze, Debbierose, ChristinaKathy, Margaret, Cindy, Helen, Steph,  Linda, Catherine, Mary Margaret and Timothy.

Next update on 6th August.

  1. Gorgeous! I love the way it looks like it’s stitched all in one shade from a distance but is actually a number of shades. Are you using a colour variation thread or are you physically changing colours for this one?

      • oh wow – I just had a peek at Avis’, I love both colours! Do you happen to know if this thread works as well for freehand embroidery (stem stitch, satin stitch etc) as it does for cross stitch? Don’t worry if you don’t know – I’m happy to experiment and report back 😉

      • yes variagated threads will work for freehand stitching ^^ I’m using Threadworx, which is sold in very large skeins of 25m, but you’ll find DMC and Anchor in 8m skeins like normal threads. Avis is using a DMC.

    • lol yes a nice sigh of relief as everything lined up. But I think we’d have noticed sooner, if we’d made a mistake.

    • thanks Catherine. I’ve already done one Ink Circles design in this colour scheme, and I have to say, I haven’t tired of it yet.
