patchwork sampler – assembly continues

Assembly work continues with my patchwork sampler, slowly but surely ^^

All nine blocks are now assembled into one piece, with 3cm bands of “verveine” green.

Next step is to cut even longer bands of green to do the outline. I’m not sure whether to keep them at 3cm or make them slightly wider . . . so will have a think and probably check out a few books and blogs before I make my decision.

  1. Do a stop border the same width as the strips between and then put on a wider normal border of a contrasting fabric to “frame” your blocks.

    • I was actually planning on doing finishing off with a thin band of bright red on the outer edge, which is why I thought a wider border of green first would look good
