Today’s the big day . . . the first day of French baccalauréat exams . . . and for 4 hours this morning, pupils will be scribbling frantically on the first written exam which is Philosophy.
I always think it rather strange that France has firmly maintained this tradition, of teaching Philosophy to final year secondary school students and can’t imagine how it would go down in other countries. Whatever . . . when in Rome . . . As I type, my daughter will be making herself comfortable in the examination room, having a last rush of adrenaline . . . and from 8am to 12 noon, will be “philosophising” ^^
So fingers crossed for her and other students nationwide, and (as they say in France, to wish good luck) “Merde” lol
