I always like to make a very early start on Christmas – not because I’m a big fan of all the tinsel and mince pies (although the latter are rather yummy) but simply because it allows me time for home-made pressies or decorations and allows me to spread the cost for shop-bought pressie buying.
September is usually the time I begin – the summer is behind us, autumn makes an appearance, and Claire puts on her thinking cap for the end of the year. This year is no exception and I’ve already begun work on some decorations. Here are three little ones I finished last month – the Santa’s Stocking was a freebie design from the net but the link no longer works (luckily I had saved to my hard-drive). The snowman is part of a 12 month calendar design that you can find on Sylvia’s blog. He is the January design.
On a side-note – thank you to Avis I now know all about Windows Live Writer which will make life easier for posting AND for me to add watermarks to my photos from now on.
Anyway, stay tuned – I’m working on a few xmas themed charts of my own but want to stitch them up first before I reveal all. I will make sure they’re available on-line in good time for anyone who also fancies making some tree decorations (or cards) this year.
